Your donation will help to continue this work and create a safe space for those seeking mediumship healing in underserved communities.
The purpose of the healing cohort is to create a community based wellness group that focuses on the principles of Liberation Psychology. Originally articulated in1994 by Martin-Baro, Liberation Psychology underscores the relationship between an individuals psychological suffering, well-being and the sociopolitical structures that negatively impact oppressed communities.
Liberation Psychology, a transformative framework, appears to be deeply interwoven with Restorative Justice-based policies. These policies are designed with the explicit aim of institutionalizing peaceful and equitable approaches to addressing harm and fostering effective problem-solving within communities.
Healing circles positively impact mental health by creating a safe space for sharing experiences, fostering belonging and building resilience, which can help individuals process trauma, grief and stress while reducing feelings of isolation and despair. As a trained Intuitive Medium, this program will bring a unique experience of promoting Restorative Justice through spiritual healing.
Each healing circle will have a theme which will include topics such as:
The power of a settled body;
Rest as resistance;
Intuitive mediumship healing modalities;
Dreaming as liberation;
Celebration and joy;
Community based wellness trips and curated conversations.
